The study area

The Swan Hill Central Precinct encompasses the heart of Swan Hill’s commercial and civic core, bounded by Pritchard Street to the north, Rutherford Street to the south, Splatt Street to the west and Curlewis Street to the east. The precinct includes key activity streets including McCallum, Beveridge, Campbell and McCrae Streets, forming the primary retail and mixed-use centre of the town. It is strategically positioned between the Murray River to the east and major community and recreational destinations to the west, including the Swan Hill Aquatic and Recreation Centre and Showgrounds Recreation Reserve.
